We were invited to visit Avila’s El Ranchito as their guests. All thoughts and ideas remain our own.
When I think of “Taco Tuesday” the only place that comes to mind is Avila’s El Ranchito. We spent countless Tuesdays there with friends and co-workers. Even after getting married we still loved to hang out there but now with kids in tow. There was no better place for cheap tacos and margaritas. Our spot was the bar at the Santa Ana location with the same lady making handmade tortiilas. Avila’s El Ranchito is our spot to celebrate birthdays or any excuse to hang out on a Tuesday. This year, they are celebrating 50 years of service – and what a better way than with some awesome tacos and margaritas!
Avila’s El Ranchito was, and still is, a family business. They have made sure to uphold the Mexican tradition that Family is the most important thing. Even now with 13 locations in OC and LA each one is run by an Avila family member. That is just what Mamá Avila would want for her restaurant. Her recipes are still being used just as in day one 50 years ago. If you have had their Mamá’s Soup you understand why they haven’t changed her recipes. The next generation of Avila’s have definitely upheld the traditions and great service that Papa and Mama Avila taught them.
Fifty years of service is not an easy task in this fast paced Orange County restaurant business. Avila’s has managed to thrive and continues to grow even after 50 years. They are showing their love and gratitude to their customers with “Summer Fiestas” at all locations. Each location will be hosting one fiesta from now thru August with deals, giveaways and live music.
If your an Avila’s El Ranchito customer you do not want to miss this celebration. I will definitely be at our original Avila’s El Ranchito spot to enjoy some great tacos and margaritas. Let the Summer Fiestas begin!
