Brea Mall offers a great shopping experience for the entire family. It houses four major department stores, over 175 specialty shops and boutiques, and a food court. My niece and I attended a Holiday Style and Gift preview event for bloggers to preview the many retailers that are gearing up for Black Friday and the busy shopping season leading up to Christmas.
One of the retailers that was on hand was the MAC Cosmetics counter. My 12 year old niece is just starting to wear makeup so she was overjoyed to try out MAC’s holiday colors. My niece has flawless skin so there was no need for foundation or powder. Instead they focused around her eyes by adding eyeliner, purple eye shadow and mascara. They also added blush and a lipcolor with gloss. She looked so beautiful. I recently purchased a MAC lipstick for the holidays and love it! Dark reds are definitely in style for the holidays so I encourage you to check out the new MAC holiday colors.
We also visited with Santa. I didn’t know what to ask him and neither did my niece. After thinking about it, I decided that I just wanted to spend the holidays surrounded by the people I love. My niece said she’s too old for Santa, but she did tell me she would want crafts. She’s quite handy with creating projects. Our favorite part of the whole experience was that the line was very short and it literally took seconds to get our picture.
The other retailer that was present was Coach handbags. I fell in love with the passport holder that also acts as a wallet. It retails for $69.50. I will definitely add it to my Christmas wish list. I currently own a passport holder that was a gift many years ago since I used to travel a lot. Unlike my passport holder, Coach’s passport holder acts as a wallet and includes many compartments. Coach also displayed several of their new purses with fall colors such as tan and burgundy hitting the shelves. They even had a purse with velvet patches around it.
Forever 21 was also on hand and displayed their featured items that included a suede men’s jacket and some makeup sets. My niece fell in love with the lipstick set that retails at $11.90. I ended up purchasing it for her since the price was very reasonable.
Brookstone was also on hand to showcase all their new gadgets. My favorite was their massage chair and my niece tried their back massager and loved it. The sales clerk also let us know that they don’t only cater to men, but to women as well. They have some great speakers for your iPods and there were a few on display. I really enjoyed the speakers since I’ve been wanting speakers for my iPhone for a while.
Other retailers on hand were Kiehl’s, which is a store that specializes in skin care, and The Spa at the Glen, which is a full service spa. I can’t wait to try out their services!
Brea Mall is about 30 minutes away from central Orange County. It is worth the drive and there are a ton of stores for everybody. There is also valet parking available by Nordstrom if you want to avoid the parking hassle during the holidays.
This is not a sponsored post. We were invited to visit the mall as a member of the press. All thoughts and ideas remain my own.
