Winter Wonderfest at Discovery Cube Orange County is open now through January 8, 2016! We went on opening weekend and had a blast!
Discovery Cube’s Winter Wonderfest has plenty of slides for kids of all ages. My two year old tried out the smallest one. He was scared but with all his big brothers doing it, he had to try it too. He ended up with the sled on his head. After that, he was done. The next snow slide is for six years and older. Gloves are available for those who don’t have them. My 7 year old really enjoyed this one. Winter Wonderfest has 2 non-snow slides. The Jr. Slide is great for kids 7 and up. Then there is the Big One, a 75 foot long ramp. This is for older kids and tweens. My two older kids, 8 and 10, really liked the big slides. I even gave it a try. We all spun the whole way down.
The slides are great, but my kiddos really loved the Snow Play Area. A big area with real snow ready for kids to play out their snow dreams. Mine started building a mini-snowman. Yes, a snowman in the middle of Orange County! They also had a snowball fight and made snow angels. All the things that any kid wants to do in snow.
Winter Wonderfest is a must for the Holiday break. There is plenty to do for everyone plus the lines go by fast. After kids are done playing in the snow, they can play hockey or visit one of the educational stations. Nothing better than kids learning while they have fun. Winter Wonderfest requires an additional ticket in addition to general admission to Discovery Cube. Make sure to buy online, since tickets are limited. Once your done outside head inside for The Science of Gingerbread. I love seeing all the gingerbread houses done by local kids and bakeries. You can also decorate sugar cookies and take pictures with Santa. Definitely worth your buck since you get two awesome events. Winter Wonderfest is open until January 8th.
