This past weekend, my girlfriends and I went to this season’s Club MomMe + Mom.Me Family Fest. Club MomMe never disappoints in putting on a great event full of speakers, products, and kid friendly activities. There is much to do and learn for moms and moms-to-be!
I am a nerd at heart, and even after five kids I love to learn new things. At Family Fest, they always have really awesome speakers to discuss sleeping habits, birthing, breastfeeding, and even a pediatrician on hand for a questions. I picked two sessions: Birth Guy and Birth Without Fear. Each had great info and were really funny. Pick the topics that you are interested in, and make time to attend.
First to test New Products
Fall Fest has so many companies and products available to test out. Companies like Diono, Britax, Lansinoh, Co-Sleeper, and Chicco. I tested out the Diono carseat which can be used from birth to twelve years eliminating the need to buy second carseat. Baby Bjorn has new baby bouncers and they had an adult-sized one which was super comfy for a nap. Whenever I visit the Family Fest, I make sure to get a bag to store all the goodies and coupons. This year, I took home diapers, baby food, Lansinoh cream, Fresh Wave products (eliminates stinky odors) and much more.
Location, Location, Location
This year, Fall Family Fest was at South Coast Botanical Garden in Los Angeles. The garden boasts 87 acres of beautiful scenery. Family Fest was on an open field overlooking the garden. After walking around to all the vendors, we needed a rest and it was nice to chit chat and enjoy the scenery. Club MomMe always makes it a point to pick great locations for their events.
Activities for Kids
Family Fest has so many activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. I took my nine year old daughter and she kept busy the entire time. She loved the Pump and Splash zones, perfect for the sunny day. The Yoobi bus was perfect for her crafty mind. There were two lounges full of toys to keep the kids entertained. She also got tons of goodies for herself including cupcakes, Yoobi supplies, face painting, and fun photo booth pictures. I never heard an “I am bored mom”, which is a big win for me.
By far my favorite part of Family Fest is the Giveaways. After you have tested and heard about all the new products, you get a chance to win them. It doesn’t get better than that. This year, they did challenges in order to get tickets for the raffle. It was as simple as posting a picture on social media of you trying out products. I love seeing moms and dads jumping and screaming because they won the $400 double stroller. One of my girlfriends won a high chair which is what she wanted. Lucky girl!
Make sure to grab a few girlfriends and the hubby and attend Club MomMe’s events. Their next one is “Must Haves” which also has great giveways and information on products. Thinking of attending a Family Fest? This Spring, you can find it in Orange County. For more information, visit http://clubmomme.com or follow us on Facebook: http://Facebook.com/LatinaMomsOC.
