Calling out all pizza lovers. There is a new pizza spot and it is riquisima. Last week, Fresh Brothers in Irvine hosted its Grand Opening celebration for it’s newest location at Irvine Market Place. Fresh Brothers now has four locations in Orange County, and is slowly taking over Southern Cali. My little army and I got a chance to try out their pizza and much more.
Fresh Brothers is in the food court patio at Irvine Market Place. There is plenty of parking and tables, both inside and out, to sit. Seating inside also gives you access to their line of TVs – something that parents can take advantage of to get a few moments of peace after a delicious meal.
The fountain is an extra treat that I know my kids always run to experience. When we got there, we were greeted by the Fresh Brothers Slice mascot. The four older kids went straight towards him took pictures and give high-fives. Lucas, the two year year old, was a whole different story. He started crying instantly and wanted nothing to do with the giant pizza slice.
All was good as soon as the pizza started coming out and we got treated to some extra yummy pizza. The kids also had the opportunity to create their own, which is always fun for them. The hubby and I got some of the house specialties. Da Works was perfect for me since I am one of those pizza lovers that thinks more toppings equals better pizza. It had tons of veggies and meats and was on Fresh Brothers Chicago-style crust.
Do not get me wrong, I enjoy thin crust – but sometimes I want a good ratio of carbs to all those veggies. The Margherita pizza was a shocker for me since I do not like tomatoes. The tomatoes were cut thin so I gave it a try and devoured the entire slice. The mozzarella cheese was so fresh and the sauce had enough seasoning that I did not mind the tomatoes.
Fresh Brothers is more than just pizza though, they also have an array of wings, salad AND vegan tenders (something that I surprised to see). They also offer vegan blue cheese dressing and vegan ranch dressing to accompany the tenders. Got a sweet tooth? Try their sweet knots!
Fresh Brothers is a family run business so it has the feel of an old Mom and Pop shop. Their motto is Fresh is Everything and this is noticeable in their product. They offer pizza for all dietary needs and preferences. I also loved how they offer multiple crust styles, including gluten-free. Fresh Brothers also stands by their standards by not frying anything on their menu – their tasty wings, bites, and tenders, and even the ‘fresh fries’, are all baked. They are kid-friendly, even going as far as handing out pizza dough for kids to play while they wait. This pizza loving family had tons of fun and give Fresh Brothers five pizza slices for their riquisima pizza.
