Yogurtland is preparing to celebrate International Frozen Yogurt Day on Monday, February 6th, 2017 by offering free frozen yogurt at all their locations from 4pm-7pm. The holiday will include United States locations as well as those in Australia, Dubai, Guam, Singapore, Thailand and Venezuela. The two featured flavors that they will offer that day are Hershey’s inspired flavors so if you are a chocolate lover, then you better get prepared to try some tasty chocolate flavors.
We were invited this past week to taste test the featured chocolate flavors as well as other popular flavors found in stores.
The two featured Hershey’s flavored frozen yogurts are Hershey’s Chocolate Milkshake and Peanut Butter Cup. Hershey’s Chocolate Milkshake is made with real Hershey’s milk chocolate fudge and Hershey’s cocoa. It is super creamy and made with malted milk. I really enjoyed this flavor because it tasted like a malt shake. I tried this frozen yogurt with a chocolate wafer which gave it that extra chocolate flavor.
The second Herhsey’s flavored yogurt is the Peanut Butter Cup, made with real Hershey’s cocoa and Reese’s peanut butter. It is a creamy spoonful of delicious sweetness. My personal favorite of all the flavors was the Peanut Butter Cup because it encompasses two of my favorite frozen yogurt flavors – chocolate and peanut butter. I usually don’t put a lot of toppings on my yogurt so when I tried the Peanut Butter Cup, all I added on top was Reese’s peanut butter candies. I would describe this flavor as having more of a rich chocolate flavor with hints of peanut butter.
My niece tried the fresh strawberry flavor made with the sweetness of real strawberries combined with the tanginess of yogurt. She liked it very much because it tastes like the creamy paletas that are sold by the ice cream trucks in our neighborhood. I tried the frozen yogurt and I definitely agree that it is very creamy and I will add that the strawberry flavor stands out. The Yogurtland website states that the secret ingredient in their strawberry flavor is real strawberries.
Another flavor we tested was pineapple sorbet which my niece said was very good and a little on the sour side which she loved. The pineapple sorbet is a flavor so fresh and bursting with pineapple that you will feel right at home in the tropics. It is also dairy and gluten-free.
I am a creature of habit so you will find me at the same establishments over and over again and eating the exact same thing. When it comes to Yogurtland, I always buy a chocolate flavored yogurt and their toasted coconut flavored yogurt and I find that this mixture always satisfies my sweet craving. I encourage you to try out Yogurtland because it is an experience of frozen yogurt that is made with natural ingredients. They have featured over 200 flavors so it’s most likely that you will find a flavor that you enjoy at a location near you. Some flavors like strawberry can be found at most locations and Yogurtland is known to introduce new flavors on a seasonal basis.
Yogurtland was founded in Fullerton 10 years ago and it has quickly spread all over the world. Owner, Philip Chang, was on hand this week to introduce the chocolate flavors that will be featured on International Frozen Yogurt Day. His goal when he opened his business was to provide a self-serve frozen yogurt experience that gives customers the highest quality ingredients and flavors to fill their cups. You can find toppings that range from fresh fruit like mango, kiwi and strawberry to syrups like caramel and other toppings like cookies, wafers and candy.
I hope you will take the kids out after dinner on February 6th to enjoy an evening of frozen yogurt at your local establishment. For locations around the world, please visit http://www.yogurt-land.com/
