Knott’s Berry Farm, America’s first theme park, has something for everyone – even single adults! My friends and I headed out together for an adults only meetup at Knott’s Berry Farm during the Summer. We wanted to focus on the parts that adults without children would enjoy. Spoiler alert: we were not disappointed.
We used the Denny’s Diner deal which gives you $24 off the regular admission on a Knott’s ticket. I love discounted tickets since I’m always on a budget. Another great deal we found was on our way into Knott’s – T.G.I. Friday’s happy hour. They have happy hour from Monday-Friday from 12pm-2pm and 10pm-closing. We learned from the bartender that Knott’s owns this location! After we had a few drinks and appetizers, we went to Knott’s to start our adventure. The drinks were great because it took a little bit of the edge off those who were too scared to get on rollercoasters.
We started at Fiesta Village by riding Jaguar, and worked our way into Ghost Town via the Boardwalk. The Boardwalk has some of the best roller coasters for adults, so we HAD to check them out!
Lunch was a few different Knott’s finds including a funnel cake with powdered sugar and boysenberry sauce, hamburgers, french fries and a Coke.
After lunch we decided to take it easy and get on the Calico Mine Ride. We had a great time and it was especially fun for my friend who had never been to Knott’s Berry Farm. The Timber Mountain Log Ride was a lot of fun too, even as we held on to each other for dear life! My friend, Krystle, mentioned to me that the Log Ride was her favorite attraction in the whole park because it brought us closer together. She exaggerated when saying that “the fear of death” can do that to you.
We finished the day by getting soaking wet on Roaring Rapids, watching a show at the Mystery Lodge and hopping on the Pony Express ride. They are all located near each other, so we were really able to get the most out of our afternoon. Before leaving the park, we stopped by the much-talked about Starbucks by Voyage to the Iron Reef – yes, THAT one. The one that serves boysenberry-flavored drinks!!! They were delicious! The prices were pretty reasonable too.
As we headed back out, I stopped by to enjoy a glass of white wine, and I was happy to see that Knott’s Berry Farm serves high quality wines. The $8 for my drink was well worth it.
For those that are smokers, I would like to add that Knott’s Berry Farm does allow smoking, however you may only smoke on the red benches found throughout the park.
It was 8 p.m. by the time we got off our final ride, the Xcelerator. We highly enjoyed our trip to Knott’s and can’t wait to go again. Some of us are already talking about going to Knott’s Scary Farm. One day was not enough to enjoy everything that Knott’s has to offer. If you are single and enjoy thrilling rides, a good cup of coffee, a cocktail and some good food, then head to Knott’s Berry Farm!
